Details:

- What: martial arts workshop
- Unit of Inquiry How we Express Ourselves: in this unit, students will explore the many ways people express their thoughts, feelings, and identities. Through visual arts and creative experiences, they will discover how self-expression can take different forms and reflect who we are as individuals. To support this learning, students will take part in a martial arts workshop that offers a unique and physical approach to expression. Using basic movement patterns and animal-inspired forms from traditional Vietnamese martial arts (such as the tiger, crane, snake, dragon and monkey), students will explore how movement and the body can tell a story, show emotion, and express personality. The session will also gently introduce elements of sports-based combat in a safe, age-appropriate way—encouraging confidence, body awareness, and respectful interaction. This experience aims to broaden students’ understanding of expression beyond words and images, highlighting the power of movement, tradition, and discipline.
Logistics:
- Program: the martial arts workshop will happen at school during the morning
- What to wear: school uniform
What to do if:
- My child can’t participate: if it’s either a scheduled absence or your child is sick, please inform us as soon as possible. Please note: the educational visit is effectively part of the didactic programme of the school. For this reason, we expect all students to participate.
Payment and confirmation:
- Daily trips are included in the “2024-25 daily trips” payment so no extra payment is needed for this trip.
