Tuesday, April 15th, marked the closure of our 3rd edition of the Digital Literacy Workshop with Fondazione di Roncade StudioSi public school primary students.

After the edition on the Digital Storytelling Initiative and the Minecraft edition last year, this edition focused on a Robotics & Coding workshop. In this workshop, 7 DP1 student volunteers acted as tutors delivering a whole 5-session H-FARM Summer Academy professional-type workshop to 12 public school students from Roncade and Monastier.

The workshop culminated with the Lego construction and coding of the following projects: 3 different cars and 1 heart-shaped robot that would sing the famous “Cuoricini” song. Participating students were able to enhance their problem-solving skills through this lab, while our DP1 volunteers stepped up their soft skills, such as communication, leadership, preparedness and planning skills, teaching skills, and many more, contributing to their future study path in university.

We are immensely proud of their dedication and innovation in making a positive impact beyond the classroom walls! A big thank you to our dedicated volunteers, whose contributions reflect the highest values of service and leadership: Nina Maria Hattersley, Polina Turkenich, Emma Milan, Boyu Chen, Egor Alessio Agostini, Davide Ragozzino, and Lorenzo Mazzilli!
