University Guidance Recap 2024-25
Through the year, the Guidance Department has provided counselling to 75 DP2 students and administrative support for 347 applications. Teachers and counsellors have written over 184 letters of references and supported students in the creation of artistic portfolios.
We hosted 1 university fair welcoming 30 universities while we delivered 16 Application Lab sessions to our senior students and 13 sessions to the juniors.
We organised 38 dedicated university visits and webinars focusing on Business and Economics in the Fall and on Medicine in the Spring semester, plus a number of signature events throughout the year ranging from: bespoke Career Day session for Business & Economics aspiring students, UAL portfolio workshop, Masterclass/inspirational talk with Prof. Daniel Rukare from Hult, reward lunch connect opportunity with NYUAD Vice-Chancellor Prof. Fabio Piano, Lunch Connect session with NYUAD Vice Provost Prof. Carol Brandt, Career Guidance & Prospects Q&A session with NYU Abu Dhabi Delegation, facilitated Lunch Connect on Medicine between juniors and seniors, US Liberal Arts Education Lunch Connect session, Screening of the movie Dream School: A Journey to Higher Education in the Boarding, Alumni Panel session.
We look forward to assisting our current DP1s through their university application journey starting in September! We wish our students and their families a restful and peaceful summer.
