As we continue to offer our students enhanced literacy in the classroom, we also try to offer our parents opportunities to grow their home libraries in English as well. After discussions with the parent reps, we have reduced the number of book fairs to two. Our friends from ‘The Book Team’ will be in the PYP Digital Lab on Thursday, December 11th.
This will give our students a chance to look over new and exciting books, and our parents the chance to purchase some Christmas presents. Books are around 8/9 euro each, with a discount of 10% if you spend over 25 EUR. Students can bring money in an envelope with their name on, and coins are always welcome, however, as the Book Fair will be happening the same day of the PYP Winter Show, parents are welcome to visit it during the day or directly after the concert.
New this year, at the fair you will find a list of books that would be valuable additions to our PYP Library. If you would like to purchase any of these books and donate it to the library, please let a member of the team know. Any donated book will include the name of the donor inside as a thank-you and recognition of your contribution!
Please also remember that every purchase helps our school—the more books that are sold at the fair, the more free books the school receives from the team. More sales mean more free books for our library!
