Dear M3 Parents,
From next week, our M3 students will begin preparing for the H-Assessment, a programme designed to support their transition into the higher years of the IB curriculum. It provides students with opportunities to develop their academic skills, independence and confidence as they prepare for the increased expectations of the M4-M5 years.
The H-Assessment consists of four written examinations — English, Italian, Science and Mathematics — alongside the H-Project.
As part of the H-Project, students will take part in a series of workshops, held approximately every three weeks from October through to May. These sessions will support students in developing their own project while strengthening key skills such as time management, communication, organisation, research and problem-solving. The project is cross-curricular, encouraging students to apply knowledge and skills from across their subjects while reflecting on their development through their chosen IB Learner Profile attributes.
The programme also provides valuable preparation for future IB experiences, including the M5 Personal Project, while helping students become more independent and well-rounded learners.
All M3 students are automatically enrolled in the H-Assessment. If you would prefer your child not to participate, please let us know and we will arrange for them to be removed from the programme.
We will hold an online parent information session in the coming weeks to explain the programme and its benefits in more detail.
