During our Introduction to the IB workshop, parents explored the key elements of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and how they shape teaching and learning at our school. Through interactive stations, participants developed a deeper understanding of the PYP’s inquiry-based approach, its focus on developing the whole child, and the importance of fostering student agency, critical thinking, collaboration, and international-mindedness. Parents then visited classrooms to see how these principles come to life in everyday learning experiences, supporting students’ academic, personal, and social development. Here you can find the presentation we shared.
As it was not possible to connect remotely due to a technical issue, if you have any questions regarding the programme, please do not hesitate to contact the PYP Coordinator, Ms. Iliana Gutierrez: iliana.gutierrez@h-farmschool.com
Don’t miss our next session for parents:
Tuesday, November 3rd at 8:45 in the PYP Outlook or online
Developing Mathematical Thinkers in the PYP
In this workshop, we’ll share how our math programming empowers students to become mathematical thinkers who explore, question, and problem-solve as they build their mathematical understanding. The workshop will share specific examples from the classroom and will provide strategies for how to connect students’ learning at home.
This workshop is for all Elementary parents.
We remind you that the full program is available here or in the Family Portal.
