Boarding Life Updates 2000 1500 School Office

Dear Parents,

We have lots happening at H-FARM, and we’re excited to share three updates with our school community. From new opportunities to get active and enjoy time together, to important updates around student safety and preparedness, there is plenty to share!

New Sports Opportunities – Get Moving!

We are delighted to announce an exciting new collaboration with a professional personal trainer, who will be joining us to bring fresh energy to our sports programme.

There will be two ways for students to get involved:

Personal Training – Inside Out Gym

Students will have the opportunity to work with a professional personal trainer, developing their strength, improving fitness and working towards personal goals with expert guidance.

Running Club

For those who enjoy the outdoors, our new Running Club offers the chance to improve fitness, build endurance and enjoy running with friends, supported by dedicated coaching.

  • Monday 9 November | 4:30–6:30 pm – Personal Training
  • Tuesday 10 November | 4:30–5:30 pm – Running Club

We encourage students to take advantage of these fantastic opportunities, try something new and make the most of our growing sports programme.

Halloween Bonfire Night – A Wonderful Evening Together!

We hope everyone who joined us for our Halloween Bonfire Night yesterday had a fantastic time!

It was a wonderful opportunity for students to come together, enjoy the Halloween atmosphere and celebrate as a community.

With a fire pit,  marshmallow roasting, food trucks, music, face painting and plenty of Halloween spirit, we hope the evening created some lovely memories. We also hope everyone enjoyed showcasing their creative costumes!

A big thank you to everyone involved in making the evening such a special occasion.

Emergency Preparedness – Looking Ahead to 72 Hours

We are aware of the recent government guidance around emergency preparedness, including the recommendation that households and communities should be prepared to manage independently for up to 72 hours in the event of an emergency.

At H-IS, the safety and wellbeing of our students and wider community remain our highest priority. We are taking this guidance seriously and will be putting appropriate plans and preparations in place to ensure we are well equipped to respond to any unexpected situations.

This includes reviewing our existing procedures, considering essential supplies and resources, and ensuring that we have clear arrangements to support our students, particularly those living in boarding.

We will continue to review the guidance and take the necessary steps to ensure our community is prepared. We will also keep families informed as our plans develop.

Our aim is to be proactive, responsible and prepared, providing reassurance to both students and families.

A COMMUNITY THAT LEARNS, GROWS AND THRIVES

Whether it’s trying a new sport, enjoying an evening of celebration with friends or taking practical steps to keep our community safe, these initiatives reflect what makes H-FARM boarding special.

Warm regards,

The H-FARM Boarding Team
