DP1 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition

DP1 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition

DP1 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition 2560 1707 School Office

The DP1 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition will take place from February 26th to March 2nd during students’ regularly scheduled TOK classes.

The TOK Exhibition is an important and first step for the students in their IB Diploma Programme journey. Over the past several weeks, students have explored how knowledge operates in the real world by examining the relationship between knowledge and everyday objects. As part of this process, they have written a 950-word commentary analyzing three objects of their choice in response to one of the prescribed TOK prompts.

Questions have ranged from how to distinguish between knowledge and belief, what constitutes good reasoning, how evidence justifies claims, and how knowledge is constructed across different disciplines and communities. The Exhibition challenges students to move beyond abstract theory and demonstrate how such concepts apply to their lives.

The visual component of the Exhibition will take place during the week of February 26. Students are responsible for preparing a physical display of their work, which may include a poster, board, or other visual presentation format that will then be presented to their teachers and schoolmates.  They are also strongly encouraged to bring the physical objects featured in their exhibition, where possible. Further details regarding the exact date, time and location of the event have already been communicated to students.

We look forward to seeing the original ideas our students will present.
