As another wonderful school year comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to thank our students, families, and staff for making this such a memorable year in the PYP.
Together, we have celebrated so many special moments. From inspiring learning and exciting field trips to performances, exhibitions, sporting events, robotics competitions, and residential experiences, our students have continually impressed us with their curiosity, creativity, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning.
This year, we watched our students shine on stage in Rock Bottom, Eddie the Penguin, SuperStan and our EYU performances, challenge themselves through RoboQuest and RoboMed and HIPPO, and share their learning with confidence during the SLC and PYP Exhibition. We also celebrated the arrival of hundreds of new books in our library, which quickly became a favourite destination for many of our young readers.
Of course, it is often the everyday moments that make a school year truly special: new friendships formed, challenges overcome, questions asked, ideas explored, and countless acts of kindness shown throughout our community.
As we head into the summer break, I encourage all of our students to enjoy a well-deserved rest, spend time with family and friends, explore new places, try new experiences, and most importantly… keep reading! Whether it is a graphic novel, a comic, a magazine, an audiobook, or a family favourite series, every book has the potential to spark imagination, inspire curiosity, and open new worlds whilst also consolidating English language development and vocabulary acquisition.
To our families, thank you for your continued support, partnership, and trust throughout the year. Working together, we create the conditions for our children to thrive.
We are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another exciting year of learning, growth, and discovery. There are many exciting opportunities ahead, and we cannot wait to see what our students will achieve next.
