Details:
- When: Thursday, February 12th
- Where: Pappagallo Rosso – Children’s Museum, Treviso
- What: science and art laboratories
- Unit of Inquiry How we organise ourselves: as part of our inquiry into how people express ideas through the arts, we will be visiting an interactive art museum where students will explore different stations dedicated to the animal world through both a scientific and artistic lens. Our visit will begin with a short presentation from our guide, followed by a guided tour of the museum. During the visit, children will have the opportunity to touch, observe, and interact with many of the items on display, fostering curiosity and hands-on learning. The highlight of the experience will be a creative art workshop “Rebuilding the World of Insects”, where students will deepen their understanding of insects by observing fascinating specimens. They will then imagine names, abilities and characteristics, and finally build their own personalised insects using natural materials such as wood, stones, paper, and cutouts. This experience beautifully combines scientific exploration and artistic expression, strengthening students’ knowledge while stimulating creativity, observation skills, and imaginative thinking.
