Cari genitori e tutori,
As we prepare to begin a new school year, I am looking forward to welcoming our returning families and meeting the many new faces joining our PYP community next week.
This year, literacy will continue to be an important area of focus across the school. Following careful reflection on last year’s ISA results and recommendations, we will continue strengthening the foundations of reading and writing while ensuring that children experience literacy as something meaningful, engaging and joyful. This will include helping students develop their confidence, comprehension and ability to communicate effectively across all areas of learning.
We are also excited for students to enjoy our new playground. This space will provide further opportunities for play, friendship, collaboration and creativity, supporting the social, emotional and community dimensions of our students’ development.
As we prepare for our IB evaluation and continue our CIS accreditation journey, reflection will be another important theme for the year. These processes give us an opportunity to celebrate what we do well, listen carefully to our students, staff and families, and identify how we can continue to improve the learning experience for every child.
The Six Dimensions of Success will continue to guide our work and our commitment to developing the whole child. We want our students to grow as confident learners, thoughtful communicators and caring members of an international community, equipped with the academic, social and emotional foundations they need for the future.
One of the greatest strengths of our school is the partnership between home and school. I encourage you to remain closely connected to your child’s learning, ask questions, share stories and celebrate progress with us throughout the year.
I am excited about everything that lies ahead and, most of all, about seeing our community together again next week.
Un caro saluto,
Anthony Hamblin
