It has been another busy and exciting week in Boarding as our students continue to settle into the new school year, build routines and get involved in life on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Welcoming Our New Boarding Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We are delighted to welcome our new members of the Boarding team: Rachel, Seb, Tony, Marieve, Greta, JC and Diletta. Their arrival brings fresh energy, experience and an international flavour to our boarding community. They are already getting to know our students in building relationships and becoming part of daily boarding life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sports activities are underway<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This week also marks the start of our sports activities, giving boarders the opportunity to stay active, try something new and spend time with friends outside the classroom. I have been delighted with the uptake and seeing so many boarders engaging with either learning a new skill or polishing an old one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n We encourage all students to take advantage of the activities available and find something they enjoy. Sport is an important part of boarding life, helping students develop teamwork, confidence and a strong sense of community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Study Time and the Library<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As academic routines begin to take shape, study time is now an important part of the boarding schedule. All boarders have access to the library, and DP Students have access to the DP building providing a quiet and welcoming spaces where they can focus on homework, revision and independent study whilst having staff on hand to offer support and advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are encouraging students to make the most of this resource and develop good study habits from the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Looking Ahead: What We Value in Boarding<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As we begin the new academic year, it is also useful to reflect on some of the wider trends shaping boarding communities around the world. Our current boarding trends highlight the growing importance of student wellbeing, academic success, flexibility and preparing students to be confident global citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At H-FARM International School, these priorities are very much at the heart of our approach to boarding. We are building a community where students feel welcomed, supported and connected, while also encouraging them to take increasing responsibility for their own routines and choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is why the balance between study, sport, social time and wellbeing is so important. Regular study time and access to the library give students the opportunity to develop strong academic habits, while sport activities provide opportunities to be active, build friendships and enjoy time away from the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are also committed to creating a flexible, welcoming and future-ready boarding community. With students coming from different backgrounds and experiences, we want boarding to be a place where everyone can belong, grow in confidence and develop the independence they will need for life beyond school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For us, boarding is about much more than where students live. It is about creating a community in which student wellbeing, academic success and global citizenship go hand in hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It has been wonderful to see the boarding community already beginning to find its rhythm.
