MYP1 Daily Trip to Certosa – April 1st

MYP1 Daily Trip to Certosa – April 1st 1200 710 School Office

Dear MYP1 Parents,

Our students will take part in an outdoor educational experience in the Venetian Lagoon, on Certosa Island, in collaboration with the BioDesign Foundation.
This activity is connected to the current Unit of inquiry on Smart living and eco-efficient homes and will allow students to explore the relationship between human activity and fragile ecosystems, with a particular focus on sustainability, environmental impact, and responsible design.

During the day, students will observe the lagoon environment, reflect on how human constructions influence natural ecosystems, and take part in hands-on activities related to microplastics, biodiversity, eco-materials, and sustainable building solutions.
They will also participate in a short environmental clean-up activity and practical workshops led by educators and environmental experts.

This experience aims to strengthen students’ awareness of environmental responsibility and encourage them to think as problem-solvers and designers, capable of imagining more sustainable ways of living.
