MYP1 Day Trip to Sarmede and Grafiche Tintoretto – December 3 1555 764 School Office

Dear Parents,

As part of our fairy tale unit in both Italian and English, our M1 students are about to embark on a unique journey into the world of imagination, illustration, and creativity.

The day will begin at the Zavřel Foundation, a renowned center for international children’s illustration. Here, students will explore the magic of visual storytelling, discovering how artists bring characters and stories to life through illustrations. They will also take part in a creative workshop, allowing them to experiment with their own artistic ideas and see their imagination unfold on the page.
This experience encourages young learners to think creatively and develop their visual literacy, connecting storytelling to the power of art.

The journey continues at Grafiche Tintoretto, where students will bring their creativity to life by creating and printing their own bilingual fairy tale book — a collection of stories written during the unit. These books will not only celebrate students’ imagination and hard work but will also be sold for charity as part of a Service as Action (SAS) initiative led by Mr. Molinari.
Through this project, students learn how creativity and community engagement can go hand in hand, turning their ideas into meaningful action.

It promises to be a day full of inspiration, creativity, and hands-on learning, showing our M1 students that stories can be told in words, images, and actions.
