Dear MYP3 Parents,
As part of the ongoing learning journey developed across the sciences, our students are about to take part in an engaging and inspiring educational experience in Padua, designed to deepen their understanding of scientific discovery through direct, hands-on exploration.
The day will begin at the Museo dell’Uomo e della Natura, an innovative and immersive space where science, technology, and visual storytelling come together to explore the relationship between human beings and the natural world. Within this dynamic environment, students will not only discover fascinating scientific collections but will also participate in an interactive genetics workshop titled “Diversi ma uguali.” Through this experience, students will explore how DNA shapes individual uniqueness while revealing the shared biological connections that unite all living beings. The workshop will encourage students to reflect on identity, diversity, and the universal language of genetics through practical and inquiry-based activities.
The experience will continue at Sperimentando, an interactive science exhibition designed to bring scientific concepts to life through experimentation and discovery. Here, students will actively engage with hands-on activities across multiple scientific disciplines, including astronomy, Earth sciences, biology, and genetics. This part of the visit offers a valuable opportunity for students to connect theoretical knowledge developed in class with real-world scientific applications in an engaging and stimulating environment.
This educational visit is designed to nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy, allowing students to experience science not only as a subject of study, but as a living and evolving field that connects personal identity with universal scientific principles.
