Dear MYP4 Parents and Students,

Get ready for an exciting and educational outing! On Thursday, June 19th, MYP4 students will head to Treviso for a unique dragon boat experience on the beautiful Sile River.

Departure from school: 12:30
Return to school: 16:15

What to Bring:

  • A hat
  • A reusable water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • School uniform and comfortable shoes (students will be rowing)

Why This Experience Matters

  • Sciences: Students will apply Newton’s Laws through hands-on rowing and explore human physiology, understanding how muscles, breathing, and coordination impact performance. They’ll also examine the ecosystem of the Sile River and the effects of human activity on the environment.

  • Individuals & Societies: Students will explore the cultural heritage of dragon boating, tracing its origins to ancient China, while learning about the geographical and ecological significance of the Sile River.
