Dear Parents,
We are pleased to inform you that the MYP4 students will take part in an educational visit to PanPiuma in Venice, a unique opportunity that supports their learning in Science—particularly Chemistry and Biology.
As part of their studies, MYP4 students will soon be exploring Biomolecules, where topics such as carbohydrates (related to the composition of bread) and enzymes (key to fermentation and digestion) are central. Furthermore, their Cellular Energetics unit connects directly to the fermentation process, an essential step in bread-making.
Upon arrival, students will watch a short introductory video, followed by a guided tour of the production departments. The visit offers insight into a modern, automated production environment that maintains traditional methods while producing one of the most fundamental foods in our daily lives: bread.
The visit is scheduled as follows:
- Group 1 – May 29
- Group 2 – May 30
On the day of the visit, students will leave school at 9:00 and return in time for lunch.
Daily trips are included in the “2024-25 daily trips” payment so no extra payment is needed for this trip.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Student Office
