Details:
- When: Friday, January, 30th
- Where: Venezia, Teatro Malibran
- What: “Piccolo Orso e la Montagna di Ghiaccio” performance
- Unit of Inquiry How we oxpress ourselves: the students will have the opportunity to approach Italian bel canto, actually taking part in the show Piccolo Orso, a contemporary opera by Giovanni Sollima. The topics of the opera will bring to light both artistic and scientific themes regarding climate change. In the weeks beforehand, the students will learn some of the arias at school which they will then have to perform together with the opera singers the day of the show. It will be a good way to come into contact with one of the Italian UNESCO intangible heritage and savor the origins and history of this precious good.
Logistics:
- Program: We will leave school at 8:30 and return by the end of the school day. We will take a private bus to Tessera (Venice airport) and then the private waterbus Alilaguna to get closer to the theatre.
- What to wear: school uniform, a warm coat and walking shoes.
- What to bring: a small backpack (no trolley) and a full water bottle
- Snack & lunch: we will provide the snack and lunch (students should not bring any food with them)
What to do if:
- My child can’t participate: if it’s either a scheduled absence or your child is sick, please inform us as soon as possible.
- Please note: the educational visit is effectively part of the didactic programme of the school. For this reason, we expect all students to participate.
Payment and confirmation:
- Daily trips are included in the “2025-26 daily trips” payment so no extra payment is needed for this trip.
