Dear Families,

In order to ensure student safety and well-being, access with dogs is always prohibited within the following areas:

PYP, MYP and DP, both indoors and the adjacent outdoor areas,

The students’ collection area within the PYP building, the Welcome Centre and the porter’s lodge (Guardiola) in the following slots: 8:00-9:00 and 15:00-16:45,

Boarding buildings and the adjacent outdoor areas,

Sports Arena (during school events and activities).

This measure is adopted to reduce risks related to illnesses and allergies, crowded environments, sudden movements and noise, and to prevent situations of discomfort or fear, especially among younger children.

In the other areas of the Campus, dog owners or handlers are fully responsible for their animal’s behavior and must ensure that:

The dog must always be kept on a lead (it is the owner’s responsibility to assess the use of a muzzle),

The dog must not be left unattended,

The dog does not cause disturbance or pose a risk to people, students or other animals,

Any waste is immediately removed,

All instructions provided by H-FARM Campus staff are followed.

In the event of non-compliant or potentially dangerous behavior, the immediate removal of the animal could be requested.

Exceptions
Only exceptions provided for by applicable law are permitted, such as certified assistance dogs, provided that student safety is always ensured.
This communication applies to the standard school routine. Any ad hoc events or specific school activities involving pets shall be assessed separately and regulated through dedicated provisions.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping the Campus a safe and welcoming place.

As we continue to support our community’s safety and well-being, we kindly remind all pet owners to ensure the safety of our students and all community members by keeping their dogs on leashes at all times while on school premises. Additionally, for dogs who may exhibit signs of aggression or have a history of biting, we urge owners to equip them with muzzles as an added precautionary measure. By adhering to these guidelines, we can create a safer environment for everyone within our school community. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated

If you bring a dog onto the H-FARM Campus you are required to respect our school community and clean up after your animal. Too frequently we see or worse, our students find or step in dog poop, particularly along the entrance path from the parking area. It has come to our attention that there has been an increase in instances where dog waste has been left unattended on school premises.

We believe in fostering a clean and safe environment for all our students, and this includes the school grounds. It is crucial that we all play a role in maintaining the integrity of our shared spaces. Therefore, we urge all parents who bring their dogs onto school property to be vigilant and promptly clean up after their pets.

Not only is leaving dog waste unsightly, but it also poses health risks and creates an unpleasant environment for everyone. We trust that, as responsible members of our school community, you understand the importance of this matter and will take immediate action to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of our school grounds.
