In the joy of being together again after the Christmas holidays, we must also take some time to remember a very sad event.

As we come together to support one another in the wake of the tragic loss of three of our former students in the plane crash before Christmas, we wish to honor their memory with a minute of silence.

This will take place tomorrow, Friday 10th, at 9:00 AM.

We understand that this is a deeply emotional time for many in our school community. The counseling team will be available throughout the day for anyone who feels the need to talk or seeks support. Please do not hesitate to reach out—we are here for you.

Let us stand together in solidarity and remembrance as we keep the memories of our students close to our hearts.

Sincerely,

Ms Fiammetta Gioia, School Counselor, and the Wellbeing Team

This week some of us have lost someone close. Others have tried to accompany loved ones in their loss. Both are painful processes. There is no clear and easy path to grief.

I am at a loss as to what to say. I wonder if it is even my place to say anything, but I did want to acknowledge the loss we feel – 3 deaths in a week – and thank all of you who rallied to support our families who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Through a sense of community, you embody Walt Whitman’s truth:  What invigorates life invigorates death.
