• H-skills: In continuing to develop the Year 4 H-skills, the students will have an opportunity to face new challenges/adversity, and show appreciation and empathy for their peers and teammates through the parkour workshop. They will learn about motor control and coordination whilst learning cooperation and exercising their own personal strengths. The children will participate in both individual and team activities.

Logistics:

• Program: the workshop will take place at school with Tommaso Lorenzon (Parkour and acrobatic gymnastic certified instructor), 9:00-10:30 Y4F and 11:00-12:30 Y4M
• What to wear: school uniform and comfortable shoes

What to do if:

• My child can’t participate: if it’s either a scheduled absence or your child is sick, please inform us as soon as possible.
• Please note: the educational visit is effectively part of the didactic programme of the school. For this reason, we expect all students to participate.

Payment and confirmation:

• Daily trips are included in the “2025-26 daily trips” payment so no extra payment is needed for this trip.

We are pleased to introduce one of the new initiatives for the next school year, connected to the campus after-school sports programme: our partnership with the NBA Basketball School, the NBA’s international official training programme designed to support the technical and developmental growth of young players through elite training methodologies.

To introduce this new training pathway – designed for those who wish to take their technical skills to the next level, as well as for those who are new to the sport (through a level-based training system) – we have organised an Open Day for students and families. Representing the NBA, Flavio Fioretti, Technical Director and Coach, responsible for clinics and training, will be present.

When:
May 18 – Cisco Arena (H-FARM Campus)
15:15 – 16:15 → PYP students (Y1 to Y5)
16:30 – 17:30 → MYP & DP students

The programme
Starting from September 2026, a weekly training pathway will be introduced to complement and enhance students’ sporting experience.

The programme includes one 45-minute session per week, focusing on the development of key basketball skills:

• shooting
• dribbling
• footwork
• game awareness and spacing

The NBA Basketball School method is defined by specific operational principles that ensure a high-quality on-court experience:

• High-intensity training: dynamic sessions with a fast pace and constant engagement, designed to develop focus, responsiveness, and the ability to adapt to game situations.
• Attention to technical details: each drill is aimed at refining fundamental skills, with precise feedback and a strong focus on quality of execution.
• Personalised development pathway: content and objectives are tailored to each athlete’s level, characteristics, and potential.
• Positive psychological reinforcement: continuous, constructive feedback to promote core values such as integrity, respect, teamwork, and innovation.
• Sport as an educational tool: a transformative development model that supports the social, emotional, mental, and cognitive growth of each participant.

The training pathway is structured in two formats to ensure quality and personalisation:

• Technical training in small groups (medium level), with a ratio of 1 coach for every 4 students, allowing for focused work on technique and decision-making
• Groups of up to 8 students (basic level), activated upon reaching the minimum number, offering a more dynamic and inclusive approach

For those seeking even more targeted development, the programme will also offer:

• Individual 1:1 sessions, focused on personalised performance improvement

This activity is designed to complement and integrate with any external sports commitments, offering students the opportunity to train with greater consistency and quality, without replacing their involvement in local teams while enhancing its effectiveness.

End of activity – Important
As this is a special activity, PYP students will not be escorted to the Welcome Center at the end of the session. Parents are therefore kindly asked to collect their children directly from the Cisco Arena by 16:15. This will also be an opportunity to meet the NBA School coaches and learn more about the training method and next year’s programme.

On May 18 only, students who are already enrolled in other afternoon activities may skip their scheduled sessions to take part in this Open Day.

This program was created by listening closely to the needs of students and families with its foundation built on three key pillars that allow students to successfully balance academic excellence with sporting ambitions.

• Flexible Schedule and Curriculum

During the MYP years, student-athletes will benefit from an optimized school timetable, with a reduced number of weekly lessons — from 40 to 35. This allows students, if needed, to leave school at 3:30 PM, creating valuable time to reach training facilities and continue their athletic commitments without compromising their academic responsibilities.
In the Diploma Programme, thanks to H-FARM’s special accreditation with the World Academy of Sport (WAoS), student-athletes can complete the diploma through a dedicated three-year curriculum instead of the standard two-year program, tailored specifically for those engaged in high-level sports.

• Optimization of School Time

The program includes a personalized review of the timetable with the direct support of the Head of Programme. Dedicated time slots for study, preparation, and recovery will be integrated into the school day, allowing students to maintain high academic performance alongside sports commitments. These additional slots are made possible by removing one non-core subject from the student’s academic plan.

• Personalized Support

Beyond the flexible management of schedules and commitments, each student-athlete will have access to a customized support plan, ensuring ongoing communication between the school, family, and sports team/coaches, promoting balance and overall well-being.
This personalized support is based on a careful assessment of each student’s needs and is subject to an additional financial contribution from the family. The type and intensity of support may vary case by case — from basic teacher guidance to a fully structured plan developed with the Learning Support Department.

Through this program, H-FARM International School continues to work toward supporting young talents not only in the classroom but also on the field.

What happens if it’s raining that day?
In case of bad weather, all activities take place anyway, but we will postpone your participation to the OUTDOOR activities to the week after. This is to give you the chance to see the outdoor activities at their full potential.

Can I attend a Sport session even if my child is not registered?
Yes, we want to give you the chance to see for yourself how all sports activities work here at H-FARM. Our goal is to give you an insight into the activities your children are already enrolled in while also allowing you to explore other sports activities that might interest your children.

• CERTIFICATES: it will NOT be possible to start sports activities without a sports medical certificate for non-competitive (6-11 years old) and competitive sports (from 12 years old). The certificate is not mandatory for Early Years Students. (3-4-5 years).
• BUS: PYP students attending soccer, basketball, volleyball and musical and using the school bus service, will be able to get the Treviso Bus leaving at 17:15.

An After School desk will available for you on Monday 4 (for new students) and Tuesday 5 September at the Welcome Center at the end of the day.
